Project Summary

The purpose of CHAMP3 is the exploration and implementation of MP3 encoder detection algorithms based on statistics of compressed audio files.

The project is organized in three main tasks:

• After an initial preparation phase where analytical tools and databases are set up,
• we plan to run in-depth statistical analyses of features and distributions of typical data.
• Finally, a working prototype for parameter-based classification of MP3 sources will be implemented by the CHAMP3 team.
