Operation Modes

Length-estimation attacks: We will implement several known attacks from the literature and judge them by their accuracy. If the precision is suitable for the following detection idea, we will describe an operable proof-of-concept.

If the message is encrypted with a block cipher and a given block size, the lengths of embedded data varies in multiples of this unit. Hence, the distribution of estimated message lengths should concentrate on these multiples.
